The estate

How our land became an estate.

The B&B, tea garden and big black barn are situated on a 14 ha country estate. In 2002, Jan stopped farming and changed his course. Where he used to farm potatoes, there is now a charming farm house with B&B. By creating and constructing all of this, Jan en Corrie made of ‘In the Morelleput’ their life’s work. Peace and quiet, authenticity and informality are the central issues here.

Good, solid materials have been used. The privacy of the guests is given high priority. The rooms are insulated and every room has it’s own amenities. As the house with B&B and the barns are newly built with an authentic look, they are in balance with the beautiful country surroundings. When you step outside after breakfast for a walk- or bike tour, you’ll find yourself in the middle of nature.

Flora and fauna
There is an orchard with a variety of 220 different types of tall fruit trees. 3 pools for frogs where you can find the great crested newt. Around the barn is a cloister where it’s possible to come face to face with a fox. Haystacks enable rodents to accommodate. There is a bee hotel and a box for kestrels. It’s also the habitat for the little owl.

Access is free for visitors and our guests.

The adjacent nature reserve (300 meter) is famous amongst birdwatchers. There are 2 bird observatories where you can spot the large and small white heron and the white spoonbill.
